Starboard reaching leg heading
The first reach is 135 degrees to port from the windward leg. You can just
subtract 135 degrees from the windward heading. Personally, I find it easier to first add 45
to the windward heading, then find the
reciprocal course (reciprocals are easy if you've been practicing!).
Port reaching leg heading
Port is easier. Once you've found the starboard reach heading, the port heading
is 90 degrees less.
Or calculate the leeward heading (reciprocal of the windward heading) and
subtract 45 degrees.
